Lake Geneva

Lake Geneva is 50 minutes drive away from Avoriaz. There are many beautiful towns on the lake side including Thonon, Evian, Yvoir and Geneva.

Chamonix

Chamonix is 90 minutes drive away from Avoriaz. Chamonix has been welcoming travellers and adventurers for over two and a half centuries and can be truly described as an outdoor enthusiast's paradise. The mountain scenery surpasses one's wildest expectations and the Mont-Blanc, jewel in the crown, thrones silently over the Chamonix valley. The Aiguille du Midi telecabine, Montenvers train, Mer de Glace and shopping in the boutiques of Chamonix remain popular attractions.

Annecy

Annecy is 90 minutes drive away from Avoriaz. Annecy is a beautiful medaeval town at the head of Lac Annecy. The old town, restaurants, shops and boat trips on the lake are poular attractions.

Montriond

Montriond is 15 minutes drive away from Avoriaz or a 90 minute walk. The lake is in a beautiful valley and offers a pleasant walk all the way around it. A number of water sports and diving activitoes are available.

Les Lindarets

Les Lindarets is 10 minutes drive away from Avoriaz or a 60 minute walk. Les Lindarets is often known as the 'Village of the Goats' and is a pretty mountain village. It offers a number of souvenir shops.

Les Gorges Du Pont Du Diable

Les Gorges Du Pont Du Diable is 30 minutes drive away from Avoriaz. It is located in a gorge on the River Dranse between Morzine and Thonon. There is a walkway through the gorge offering a close look at a an impressive natural beauty spot.
